When I’m a little old lady
Then I’ll live with my children and bring them great joy
to repay all I’ve had from each girl and boy
I shall draw on the walls and scuff up the floor;
run in and out without closing the door.
I’ll hide frogs in the pantry, socks under my bed
whenever they scold me, I’ll just hang my head.
I’ll run and I’ll romp, always fritter away
the time to be spent doing chores everyday.
I’ll pester my children when they’re on the phone.
As long as they’re busy won’t leave them alone.
Hide candy in closets, rocks in drawers,
and never pick up my clothes from off the floor.
Dash off to the movies and not wash a dish.
I’ll plead for allowance whenever I wish.
I’ll stuff up the plumbing and deluge the floor,
as soon as they’ve mopped it, I’ll flood it some more.
When they correct me, I’ll lie down and cry,
kicking and screaming, not a tear in my eye.
I’ll take all their pencils and flashlights, and then
when they buy new ones, I’ll take them again.
I’ll spill glasses of milk to complete every meal,
eat my banana and just drop the peel.
Put toys on the table, spill jam on the floor,
I’ll break lots of dishes as though I was four;
What fun I shall have, what a joy it will be
To live with my children, like they lived with me!
Thought for the Day
"Oh, it is wonderful to know that our Heavenly Father loves us - even with all our flaws! His love is such that even should we give up on ourselves, He never will. We see ourselves in terms of yesterday and today. Our Heavenly Father sees us in terms of forever. Although we might settle for less, Heavenly Father won't, for He sees us as the glorious beings we are capable of becoming."

I Never Knew
Wow, I never realized how talented my daughter was! I mean I've always know that she's super awesome, but it isn't until you see her shine in front of others that you really have your eyes opened.
Elizabeth sang in Sacrament yesterday with one of my old YW. I was soooo nervous - more nervous than she was. What is it with her, she's always so calm and collected when I'm about to puke my guts out. :)
She did AMAZING!!!! They sounded so beautiful!

Wild Goose Chase with a Dog-Chewed Can, Crystals, and a White Box on a Fence
That was kindof a long Title. Sorry! But I was remembering something else we did with our company this past week. I actually had a dream about it last night.
Last week we went on a GeoCache behind our house. We hiked and hiked and hiked without any luck. But we DID find a watering can toy that had been chewed by a dog, some really awesome "crystals," and Paige even found a gold ball that somehow found it's way home. Even though she had been told not to bring it home. :)
As we walked along a barwired fence (because we had been told that the geocache might be on a post), the kids saw a white spot in the distance. We all got very excited thinking that we had found it. The kids ran ahead of us and suddenly we see the "white spot" fly into the air. :) It was funny to watch the kids from where we were. They all slapped their legs with a big, "Awwww Man!!! It was just a bird!!" I laughed and laughed.
In the end, we didn't find it and will forever remember the fun we had trying to get there. I still have the dents in my back from taking the cactus picture!! wink wink

Fun @ the Zoo
We have had soooooo much fun with Jen, Blake, Lane, and Paige here. Last Wednesday we went to the Phoenix Zoo. The coolest thing for all of us was when we went to the tiger's cage.
As we stood at the glass looking at the tiger, he suddenly started pacing and looking really angry. Which is kindof cool but only if you are behind the glass and there is a big drop off between the glass and the tiger. We were all wondering why he was so upset and we saw one of the zoo workers drive by in a little open truck thingy. Hurm???
We started to move on when another worker drove by and the tiger started getting upset again. This time we asked the zoo worker why he was behaving that way. The guy told us that 3 years ago he and the other worker were the ones that tranq'ed the tiger and moved him to another cage. And now, 3 years later, the tiger still HATED those 2 guys.
WOW!!! It was really cool to see the tiger come running up to the edge of the drop off and roaring really loud.
3 years is a long time to hold a grudge! :)
