Well, our Digital Scrapbooking class last night was a hit! :) I'm so happy..... it's done.
It actually turned out really fun. We made a Powerpoint slideshow with all of our information made into scrapbook pages. Bret hooked up the laptop to the TV and we just clicked through the slides to show about Digital Scrapbooking.
We also made a slideshow with all of our Digital Scrapbook pages and some music along with it. This slideshow we had playing as everyone came in, before we started the presentation.
Becky, we did AWESOME!!! Thank You!!!
On another note, I've gotten quite a few comments about the MoHawks. :) I have to laugh and reply to some of these comments. You see, a lot of you are under the impression that my boys will start behaving like Rebels and Punks. The sad thing is that they already are - even before the Mohawks. I'm just making the outside match the "beauty" that's inside! :)
Soooooo, now my house is clean (had to clean it for last night), the kids have been fed and are playing video games (yes, I'm a very bad mom, deal with it), and I have nothing to do right now. Except maybe.........
Digital Scrapbooking! Yeah!!! Bret's still asleep so I won't even feel guilty either. Can it get any better than this?
Thought for the Day
"Oh, it is wonderful to know that our Heavenly Father loves us - even with all our flaws! His love is such that even should we give up on ourselves, He never will. We see ourselves in terms of yesterday and today. Our Heavenly Father sees us in terms of forever. Although we might settle for less, Heavenly Father won't, for He sees us as the glorious beings we are capable of becoming."

Summer Hair
Well, summer hair is here! We've done the boys' hair and I still have to talk to the girls to decide how they want their hair. We're headed to Geek & Jackie's today (Geek is my brother and the kids in the whole family call him Uncle Geek - it started with my oldest Nephew and has stuck for all the kids). Anyway, maybe she'll cut the girls' hair for me.
The boys look COOL!!!!! Can I just say that I have the coolest redheaded boys in the world! You'll have to keep checking back today to see a pic of their hair. :)

Have you heard my music?
I've had these songs on my blog for a couple of weeks now. I was meaning to tell you a little about the songs, but forgot. I'm telling you now. These songs are ones for my kids. When I was pregnant with each child I chose a song that made me think of them. I'd sing this song to the belly and think about the little soul I'd be bringing into the world. Each of their song has special meaning to me. I've added more to the repwitour (that is so totally misspelled - so what?!) as the years have passed. My new favorite for how I've been feeling about these kiddos is "You're Gonna Miss This."
Elizabeth's song is - "Close To You" because she really is like an angel plopped down from Heaven for us!
Elijah's is - "God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You" because I honestly feel that he and Elizabeth were meant to be twins, but God must have spent a little more time on him. (And because He knows I would have gone crazy!)
Jake's is - "I Knew I Loved You Before I Met You" because I had some amazing experiences with my pregnancy with him. I knew that he was meant to be with our "Little" family and that he was being protected even before I knew I was pregnant.
And Livvy's took a little longer to find. But her's is - "I Hope You Dance" because she is my little dancer! She dances and prances everywhere she goes. I hope she always dances (if sometimes it's only in her heart).
So now you know! The songs for my Babies!
Goodnight Everyone - Sleep Tight. :)

I'm Watching You!
Oh, my little son - what a character you are!
The other evening Bret was watching the kids (I had some sort of meeting) and there was a knock on the door. We have a small glass window right next to the door and Jake ran downstairs to see who was at the door. Bret came walking down a few seconds after Jake and saw him doing the eye thingy - I'm watching you, through the window. You know, where he points to his eyes and then points to the other persons eyes. It was a salesman and he was laughing his butt off.
I share this story because:
1. it's funny.
And 2. it seems that his little (big) personality is blossoming! He has just become quite the joker and crack-up.
He keeps us laughing. And sometimes pulling our hair out.
On another note, today was the last day of school! Right now I'm glad about it. I can sleep in and not worry about homework or reading or things like that. Keeping things running smoothly during schooltime sure is tough. And summers are a lot easier for me than it is for others. My hubby is home to help with things and to have fun with us. I'm very excited for this summer!
(I'm sure you'll be hearing differently in a few weeks). :)

Summer Rules
It's official!!! Summer is here! How do I know? Maybe the 110 degree weather was a big indicatior. Or maybe the fact that the elastic in my underwear is melted! :) Actually, it's because "Summer Rules" has been invoked. Don't ask, I'll explain!
Our first summer in Arizona was back in 2000. And from that first summer sprouted a set of rules that Bret and I refer to as "Summer Rules."
Summer Rules:
1. When on a date, the man does NOT get the door for the woman. He gets in the car as fast as humanly possible and turns on the AC. If he's a real nice guy, he'll leave the restaurant/movie/bowling alley a few minutes before the woman and starts the AC.
2. Swimming pools are a form of bathing.
3. You have to turn on the outside water hose and give it a minute to "cool down" before touching the water. Third degree burns are possible if this rule is broken.
4. Oven mitts make great driving gloves.
6. NO NO NO (and I really mean NO) bare feet outside!!!!!
I'm sure there are some I've forgotten. But these are the rules. This morning, I invoked rule #1. It's all downhill from now on. :(

Why Can't I Sleep?!
I've been waking up early mornings and not able to sleep! My mind just won't shut down!!!! I have a lot of things coming up that are causing me a tad bit of anxiety. On the 29th a friend of mine (Becky, your Awesome!!!) and I are teaching a Digital Scrapbooking class. I'm actually pretty excited about it, but still nervous. I get that way no matter how well I know my material.
Then next month I have girls camp and there's a TON of stuff I still have to do for that!
We have our trip to Utah, camping, visiting, and Moab! BTW, anyone wanna watch a big friendly dog for 10 days? We'll pay you?! Just kidding - actually, I'm serious if you wanna do it! :) He's a VERY good dog - a big lug! He's GREAT with kids!! And we really WILL pay!
Oh, and I have some PTA things to do too. I forgot about that.
You know, I really need to start writing things down - I think I'm going to start forgetting it all.
I had to take a small break - I wrote some things down so I wouldn't forget! :) Now lets hope I don't lose the paper that everything is written on.
Well, I need to get to bed. I'll probably be up in a few hours anyway. Actually, Tylenol PM is a wonderful thing for Insomnia.
Hugs to you all!

Another Page
Well, I've been neglecting my house today. Oh well. It hit me that this is the last week with a little bit of quiet around the house. The kids' last day of school is Friday. I think that I shall take advantage of this until the end of the week. :) So today I did a page that took a little longer than normal - 45 minutes or so. But doncha just LOVE the pic of Livvy?

Oh, real quick
Bret just got a call from a friend of ours...
they're going golfing this morning!!!! Ahhhhh sweet peace! I will be alone for a few hours (just me and Pivs).
I owe you Jared! Could you maybe play 5 rounds of 18?! :)

So Much!
There is so much I WANNA do, and yet there is so much that I HAVE to do today! It sucks to have hubby home for the summer because I feel like I have to do 110% around the house. I can't just sit and blog for a few hundred hours (oops, I mean a few minutes). :)
This morning my sis called and told me I had to check out my blog (while I was on the phone with her). LMBOROTF!!!!! (Translated: laugh my butt off rolling on the floor)
Now for you all to get the BIG picture I have to go back in time on this story.
A couple of months ago I was helping my sister to get her blog up and running. We talked some things through on the phone, but there was one thing that wasn't working properly so I asked for her password and user name so I could go in and check it out. We got the kinks worked out and all was well. Problem is that I now had this important info and felt that I had to use it somehow. I mean what good is having someone's username and password if you aren't going to get some use out of it. I didn't feel morally correct if I sold that info for a few bucks soooooo...
I decided to post a little something on her blog as if she had written it herself. I was a very good person though and only posted truthful things! You know, what a wonderful sister she has and how superior I am. Yeah, truthful things! :)
Well, I guess payback is a....
real tough thing to take!
My sister was the one to post the NKOTB post below. She is bringing out an embarrassing part of my childish semi-adulthood. Yeah, I was a little old for it, but I LOVED LOVED LOVED the New Kids On The Block!!!!! Donnie Wahlberg was my fav.
The problem that my sister didn't realize that I have recently decided to embrace my dorkiness! (I'll have to post about that later). So I'm not that embarrassed.
In fact, I'll take it a step further and say that my BFF at the time had a huge room in her basement that we made into a NKOTB room!!! We set up a stereo and each wall was dedicated to a member of the group! A part of one wall stuck out a bit so we considered that 2 smaller walls. On one part we had posters of the group and the other little section we had posters of Danny Wood (he was our least favorite). :) We had each wall COVERED in posters!!!! We even had NKOTB pillows, it was Da Bomb!!!!
Yep, embracing my dorkiness!! Rest easily knowing that someone out there in God's green earth IS dorkier than you. Hey, tell your Hubby's if you feels so inclined I'm willing to take one for the team so that you all can look a notch cooler to your men!
On another note, tonight is Date Night! I think we're going to see the new Narnia. I stayed up late last night watching the 1st one so that I could be up to date! :)
I'm excited to be with my Dude! :)
Well, I have a little 4 yr. old demanding "Pivvy Milk!" That's chocolate milk to the rest of us. And who does she think she is DEMANDING from me. I better go and learn her!
Hugs to all!

Not sure what to title this...
Well, the other day Bret taped a little bit of a news segment for me. I have to admit that I was touched! :) He thought of me! I was dead asleep in the other room.
The segment was about a "mommy blogger" named Heather Armstrong. It talked about how popular her blog is (yeah, it brings in about $40,000 a month). And I have to admit that I was curious. Seeing as how much I love blogging - making money at it, can that happen?!
During the segment 2 things stuck out to me:
1. she WAS a member of the Church. That doesn't bother me, it just stuck out to me.
2. they talked about how honest and open her blog is. My thoughts got turning and I had to be honest with myself. The fact that she WAS a member and now talks openly about these things - yeah, that did tweak my concern a bit. WHY?
I am a strong member of the LDS Church. It is my very soul and I tend to be protective. It made me a little sad thinking about anyone raving about any religion. Because it hurts spirits, not just minds or bodies. Now mind, I haven't read any of her religion based posts. In fact, I've only gotten time to read one. So my opinion is off. But here was my main thought in regards to all this:
Just because you CAN say anything - it doesn't mean you should!!!
Honestly, I think that wether it be over a blog or out of our mouths we should learn how to vocalize ourselves with respect for others. I can talk about my frustration with religion and people and the color of dog poop, but I can also do it with manners.
I'm sure that as I read more from Heather's blog that I'll be shocked or even angry. I respect that she has the right to say what is on her mind. She's a fun writer. I'm just doing a lot of thinking about it.....

You're Looking At The New....
PTA Secretary for next year! :) I'm actually very excited about it. We voted on new Board Members. A couple of the ladies put my name up for a vote as Secretary. I got the votes and now I'm in. We have a lot of planning and preparing for next to do this summer. The school and the PTA are both very new. This next year will be fun because we know a bit more of what we are doing. And we aren't starting in the red for money.
On other news, this week is pretty busy for me. Bret is done with work for the summer. Don't be too jealous - it isn't always fun! :)
Anyway, this week we are prepping the upstairs for painting. I had the PTA meeting this evening, and then tomorrow I have a YCL meeting. Thursday evening is Enrichment, one of my YW and I are doing a miniclass on Journals and then Friday is Date Night. BUSY!!
All I really want to do is DigiScrap and nap. :) Not a lot of motivation right now.
But I'm trying to be good and do what I should. Bret has been awesome though. I got home from PTA and the house was totally cleaned and straightened! How wonderful was that!
Well, I'll have to post a more detailed blog another day. I'm going to head to bed!

Do You Know What I Love?
The week before Mother's Day.
I love seeing my children carrying little white and brown bags, decorated with hearts and sweet pictures. They make them at school, church, and anywhere else they happen to go. Inside are the gifts that they will give for Mothers Day. I love the secrecy almost as much as the gifts themselves. :)
Today my kids are trying to water 2 "secrets" hiding in the closet. I had to have them move them into the garage. And Jake is concerned about his "secret" getting light. He thinks he needs a candle!
For 1 more day I get to pretend not to see the pictures being made and the secrets in the garage. I sure love my kiddos!

Did You See IT?!!!
The trailer for the new Twilight movie!!!! I have even turned off my music for this momentous event. I've even thought about deleting everything else from my blog! :) Can anyone say Obsesive! I've watched it about 40 times already! :)
Anyone want to join me for a midnight viewing of this bad boy on Dec. 11th?!

Here's the page for today's pics
I Took These Today...
I had to post one of the pics I took today of Livvy. She's getting so big!
I'm trying to grow her bangs out. They've gotten long enough to pull back a little bit. YEAH!! It's been frustrating seeing her bangs in her face.
Today she took a nice long bath and I cleaned the house. After that she spread her Belle blanket out on the floor and put puzzles together. :) She liked watching the birds out of the back door too.
It was a nice relaxed morning for us! :)

Again, More Pages
I'm sorry to bore all of you. But this is honestly what I spend my free time doing. I'm a little obsessed! In fact, Bret went and got me a memory card for Mother's Day. As I transfered all my Digital Scrapping stuff from the laptop onto the card, I realized just how much stuff I have. It all filled a 2G and I still have more to go. :) I didn't realize there was that much stuff!
SOOOOOO since my life is so boring and all I do is DScrap, then that's what you'll get! Deal with it! LOL

I've been tagged...
Well, Other Other Steph :), you tagged me so here goes:
Favorite Food: Macayo's. I love love love Macayo's. Favorites on the menu - beef taco, taco salad, pescado taco. Yum! Oh, and I also LOVE their chips and salsa. Oh, and the fact that they have Mt. Dew.
Age: Just turned 36 which incidentally is my favorite number. Well, actually 6 is my favorite number. But 6x6=36 so that's even cooler and just rolls off the tongue.
Middle Name: Nope. I don't have one. It's a tradition in our family that the girls don't have middle names so they can use their maiden name if they want once they get married.
College Major: Nope again. I actually flunked out (sortof). I played too many computer games and didn't go to classes or do my homework. It was before the internet came to be what it is now. You had to type in an address and it was VERY basic - no graphics or anything like that. I got hook on MUD games. Anyone out there know those? And actually, as a side note, I met 2 amazing young men "online" and became real close to them, Austin and Jeff. They ended up joining the church and serving missions! :)
Favorite Vacation: I haven't really had a vacation. My family went on trips a lot when I was little but it was usually moving cross-country. I think the last REAL vacation that Bret and I took was just after we were married and we went to Zion's and stuff. We had a lot of fun. We take trips now as a family, but I wouldn't call them "vacations" really. We camp with family and visit our loved ones in Utah. That's fun too! This summer we are going to Moab with my family! Can't wait!!!!!
Bad Habit: Wow, what am I willing to admit to? :) I have NO bad habits! LOL Oh, ok - I am obsessed with the computer and Mt. Dew! I do way too much of both.
Pet Name: We have a huge dog named Dozer and a fish named Knuckles. A lot of times we have a little blonde 4 yr. old puppy. She doesn't have a name really. It changes depending on what mood she's in. We often call her Livvy. :)
Place I Want to Visit: I'd love to go back to my mission place - Australia!
Like to Live: Well, that's a hard one. I like upstate New York - gorgeous with all the hills and trees. But it's too far from family. I'd just like a house with a big porch and on a bit of land with lots of grass and trees. Enough room for the kids to run and explore, and to also have a decent veggie garden.
7 Weird or Interesting Things About Me:
1. I actually love cartoons - the real kid ones! My fav. is the old Blues Clues with Steve. He is a funny guy.
2. I went to Australia on my mission and met Bret there.
3. I really like being alone.
4. I am amazing at grocery shopping! I really am!
5. I have a hard time thinking of 7 interesting things about myself. :)
6. I am actually a very strong opinionated person. But I care too much for people to hurt them with my opinions. Bret hears them all.
7. I like to argue - thanks Dad! :) Wanna "debate" tuna and dolphin killing? LOL
Now I tag everyone on my list that will do it! :) Ha!

:) Ha!
Amie H, this ones for you
Well Amie, do you feel special having a post dedicated just to you? I just HAD to post this for you! On some website or something somewhere they are selling something that is right up your alley or should I say street - 21 Jump Street?! Have you seen that show, if not then that line really doesn't make sense to you. It's a show that Johnny Depp was on in the 80's.
ANYWAY, today as I dropped the kids off at school, I heard a little blurb on how there is some website selling things for charity. There's lots of things you can buy like the chance to meet Oprah and sit in her VIP section at one of her shows. You know, things like that. Well, guess what you can buy for $37,000? A scene in an upcoming Johnny movie with the Deppers himself! Yeah, I knew you'd LOVE that! By the way, I'll donate a few bucks if you help me meet my dreamboat = Orlando Bloom! :) Maybe we could both be in a future scene of Pirates! LOL
So Amie, this ones for you!!!

AND this one's for ME!!! :)

Date Night!
Well, the bra is off; the ugly but oh so comfortable clothes are on; the house is empty; and the laptop is in my lap - I am ready for date night! Are you a little confused - where is my date? Well, he had another more important date; Elizabeth for a Daddy Daughter Date. She was SOOOOO excited!
Last time I had an alone Date Night I was very sad. I went around town cranky and missing Bret. I have learned from that experience and now chosen to do things differently this time around. I am doing exactly what I want and I am quite happy now. :)
So everyone, enjoy your evening - I'm sure I shall!
Hugs!

Awww Man.....
You Are Pocahantas!
Free-spirited and wise. You have a strong passionate spirit that touches and changes all who know you. The wisdom and common sense that you have is really what guides you through life. Even so, you also have a very playful side that loves adventure and excitement.
Which Disney Princess Are You?
I really wish I was Sleeping Beauty or someone more romantic. I think it was the question about what I like to wear - natural and comfortable! I guess I'm too much of a realist to be a fancy romantic princess. :( Well, try having 4 crazy kids and see how "fancy" life is after that. :)
Oh well, I like what it says about me though (even if it isn't true)! LOL!

Poor Sick Livvy
Well, Monday morning Livvy woke me up barfing. She was sick on Monday but seemed completely fine on Tuesday. Then that evening, before bedtime, she puked again. We've been missing things like Scouts, Achievment Days, and Young Womens for all this illness. I can't wait for this to pass.
On another side note, I downloaded the trial version of PhotoShop Elements. I've been playing with it a little bit today. I enjoy learning new things, but sometimes I just wish I had the knowledge instantly. PSE is more technical than my Scrapbook software. I hope to dabble in the photo editing aspect a little more.
So here is my first page done with the PSE:
