At 5 Years Old?!?!?

This morning Livvy tells me:
"Mom, you know that girl that has the same shoes as me?"
I nodded.
"Well, I'm not friends with her anymore." she said.
I asked her why and her response was something I didn't expect AT ALL!!
" Because she lied (pronounced 'wied') to Pacey and she spit on Cynthia."

Has it started already?! I refuse to have my children living their lives in such drama. I don't care if I have to beat it out of them.

So I did the only thing I could do - smacked her around a bit. :) Just kidding!!! I just shrugged and said, "That's life Baby."

OOOOOHHHH, but that's not the end of the story.....
She was naughty this evening and got in trouble. Later when we were cuddling and I was talking to her about what she did wrong she tells me, "Mom, you lied to me." Again, pronounced "wied" and it took me a few trys to understand what she was saying.
You wanna know what I lied to her about?

"You said you thought I was the most cutest girl ever."
Bwahahahahaha!!! It was one of those moments in a mom's life when they need to swallow the laughter and take a big breath.
I said, "Oh Honey, I DO think you are one of the most cutest girls ever! Why do you think that?"
"Because you love other babies more than me!" This was said in her most dramatic voice and tears running down her cheeks.
It has begun!
