Thought for the Day

"Oh, it is wonderful to know that our Heavenly Father loves us - even with all our flaws! His love is such that even should we give up on ourselves, He never will. We see ourselves in terms of yesterday and today. Our Heavenly Father sees us in terms of forever. Although we might settle for less, Heavenly Father won't, for He sees us as the glorious beings we are capable of becoming."

Little Man Grows Up

On Sunday Jake had his Baptismal Interview with our Bishop. Bret went with him and I finished cleaning up the Primary rooms and saying goodbye to the last of the kids. Quietly Jake walks up to me and looks at me. I smile and ask him how his interview went. He said good and then tells me, "Mom we have to be reading our Scriptures and saying our Prayers every morning and night. And I'm supposed to be reading my Scriptures by myself too."
Now mind you, we try hard to do it once a day - but we are hit and miss.
Well, on the way home from church I look back to see Jake reading his Scriptures. :) And he has been reminding us every morning and night to read and pray. Bret said that he promised Bishop to read and pray every morning and night.
It makes my heart so glad to see him so eager to do what the Lord wants him to do.

Way to go, little man. Make sure you keep your mommy and daddy on the straight and narrow. Heaven knows we need all the help from our children. I'm proud of you too.
