Thought for the Day

"Oh, it is wonderful to know that our Heavenly Father loves us - even with all our flaws! His love is such that even should we give up on ourselves, He never will. We see ourselves in terms of yesterday and today. Our Heavenly Father sees us in terms of forever. Although we might settle for less, Heavenly Father won't, for He sees us as the glorious beings we are capable of becoming."

Sooo Tired!

Wow, it's amazing how much your body can be affect by things! I have stopped drinking all that nasty soda I was putting into my body. I have changed my lifestyle and that of my family's as well. But in an effort to flush out the caffeine and yucky stuff, I have been VERY tired! The only time I can remember being this tired was when I was pregnant with Elizabeth. Don't even ask!!! I'm not prego, and that's NOT funny!
You want to hear the extreme nature of this exhaustion?! Yesterday I got the kids to school and then came home and tried to be productive. I ended up starting a load of laundry and a load of dishes then crawled onto the couch with Livvy. She watched cartoons while I spent the next 2.5 hours napping. I'm actually a bit ashamed to be admiting that. :( Not to mention that I was ready for bed at 7:30pm.
This morning is as tiring as yesterday. I was more protuctive, but still VERY VERY tired!
On another note, I made sneaky cookies yesterday. The kids gobbled them right up. I had to throw some in baggies for lunches, but I think they were a big hit. I think they need a little more sugar though.
My main reason for trying these cookies is to help with Elizabeth. Some of you may know (or not) that she suffers from pretty nasty headaches quite often. They make her sick. I think I may have narrowed down why she get them. I think she might be hypoglycemic (did I spell it right?). Anyway, she seems to get the headaches when she hasn't eaten for a couple of hours. At school she has to make a special trip to the Nurses office for a snack each day to keep her levels high enough.
Well, these cookies have some whole grains in them as well as beans. The combinations of the different ingredients will help her body burn things slowly. Let's hope it works. :)

Another part to all this healthy eating is because of Bret and I. The book makes it so that you can sneak foods into your CHILDRENS' menus. But really, it will help Bret and I as well. I am still serving veggies and fruit with dinner (in normal form), but now it's in our main food too.

I'm also excited about finding ways to use these puree's in my normal recipes. I've always tried to be smart about how I cooked, but now I can be even better. Who knows, maybe I can be a recipe maker for the Sneaky Chef! LOL! Yeah right! :)
